Defending a private person in a dispute related to recovery of penalties accrued for overdue payment of alimony and ensuring that the judgment rendered is properly enforced

The project team has successfully acted for a private person in a dispute related to recovery of penalties accrued for overdue payment of alimony. The amount sought by the plaintiff and sustained by the first instance court was UAH 300,000; however, the company lawyers managed in the appellate instance court to reduce the amount so sought to UAH 65,000.

Subsequently, the Client complied with this judgment soon after it was received by state enforcement service bodies without any adverse effects for the Client. In particular, no real or personal property was attached, though the judgment creditor requested such attachment in its application for commencing enforcement proceeding.
